Project Description
18’’ Cap Lopez-Rabi Pipeline
Brief Project Description:
The inspection of the 18” Rabi – Cap Lopez Pipeline from Oil Rabi Station to Batanga Station was executed on November 14-18, 2018 (GEO+ tool run) and December 06-09, 2018 (MFL/DMR tool run).
Internal metal loss: A total of 34 indications of internal metal loss are reported. The deepest two with a depth of 28% (relative to the adjacent, unaffected pipe wall) are located at a distance of 95051m and 96420m.
External metal loss: A total of 41391 indication of external metal loss are reported. The deepest one with a depth of 73%, already mentioned in the Preliminary Report and repaired in February 2019, is located at a distance of 1191m.
Geometric anomalies: There are 63 geometric anomalies reported. The most significant one with a reduction of 2.8% (relative to the outer diameter) is located at a distance of 5953m.
Seven of the dents are reported in combination with metal loss. Furthermore, there are two minor ovalities reported of which one is combined with metal loss.
Mill anomalies: In total 798 mill anomalies are detected, which probably arise during the manufacturing process of the pipeline.
Brief CP Scope:
Kortek provides site survey and detailed CP design studies within the scope of 18’’ Cap Lopez-Rabi Pipeline as follows:
- Soil Resistivity Measurements along the Pipeline
- CP On ve Instant/Off Potentials
- Collecting AC and DC voltages w/Data Logger
- Anode bed resistance measurements
- Inspection of Insulation Valves
- DC interference inspection for foreign metallic structures
- Preparation of Detailed Design Report including material list, current distribution and complex attenuation calculations
