Brief Project Description:

As part of the West Qurna 1 Major Projects, the WQI Produced Water 2 (PW2) Project will provide the facilities with design capacity to treat the produced water and provide 210 kbwpd of outlet stream treated produced water in order to meet the forecast of produced water across West Qurna 1 Degassing Stations 6, 7 and 8.

Referred Produced Water 2 (PW2) facilities are in addition to the existing Produced Water 1 (PW1) facilities which are designed for treating the 90kbwpd of Produced Water. Both these facilities shall feed the treated water to Water injection facilities at DS7.

Brief CP Scope:

Galvanic system is used for cathodic protection for the reinforcement steel of equipment foundation piles and piles under produced water tank. According to environmental conditions, zinc alloy-based anodes are selected to be used for CP system and Kortek is selected to provide 12000 numbers of Galvanic Concrete Anodes (Galvanic Concrete Anode 160 gr net with highly alkaline porous cementitous mortar) for CP system of entire pile reinforcement structure. Anodes have been produced and shipped to site successfully by the end of March 2021.
